Bluebell Bank bed and breakfast sits beautifully in the stunning Dumfries & Galloway countryside on national cycle route 7, only 15 minutes from Dumfries and 10 minutes from both Dalbeattie and Castle Douglas. We truly offer the best of both worlds, peace and solitude with many activities nearby. The cottage is 150 years old and we share this special place with our horses, donkeys and dogs who are a large part of our lives.
We cater for one set of guests at a time in our private annex accommodation which has recently been refurbished to a high standard, with views as far as the eye can see your accommodation consists of a large light and airy king bedroom, private lounge and spacious bathroom. We want you to feel at home so just unpack, relax and start to explore this wonderful region. Your accommodation has it's own entrance so you can come and go as you please, the room configuration is perfect for a completely private stay but if you want to join us on one of our donkey walks or sit on the patio with the fire pit and watch the stars take over from the sunset then please be our guest. Our stables are at the back of the house and if you like animals just ask us for some carrots or apples and feel free to visit our horses and donkeys who are all friendly and love a fuss.
We'll see you in the morning for a locally sourced cooked breakfast but if you would rather have something else let us know the night before and we will happily try to accommodate your preference.
Only 2 hours from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, Bluebell Bank bed and breakfast is the perfect bolthole to relax and recharge your batteries so if you need a night away or a week exploring the surrounding attractions you can be sure of a comfortable stay at an affordable price.
We can provide safe undercover parking for bikes and the Mabie Forest cycle routes are only a short distance away.
